The Home Stretch...

I have been so bad about posting lately... Please forgive me.  So much has happened since my last post.  My home is absolutely BEAUTIFUL.. I am so in love with it and can't wait to get those keys in my hand.   Hopefully my closing wont be delayed but remember my post about having to use a broker for my loan... well that is no longer true, my loan is back with NVR but I'm also back in the middle of the paperwork shuffle.   Longgggg story about the bad broker deal but I'll give you details in another post.  I just wanted to share some pictures and stay positive that NVR will get the loan app through underwriting in time to still close on 2/25.  I'm remaining optimistic and faithful.

I told myself that today would be my last time visiting the house until Pre-Settlement on 2/21.  I want to leave something to the imagination and there is basically nothing else to be done except landscaping, cleaning and making everything look pretty.

I think our Red Door will be painted this afternoon..  Can't wait to see it.

Wow!  We have a lot of side and back yard to cut.
Deck with a nice little view of Cosbys Lake
And a whole lot of grass to grow!
Hardwood in the Foyer, Mud Room & Powder Room.

Love it!
Dining Room from Foyer

Dining Room from Kitchen
Stove has been just sitting there for a while... Not sure why?

Basement Hall & Unfinished Bathroom where that door is.
Basement!  I think this is my favorite part of the house.
Bathroom Vanity ... and not really feeling the white vanity top.
In My Opinion the shower enclosure is hideous.  I'd prefer a tile floor and seamless glass shower.

  2. You've got a great lot and house is really looking beautiful.

Totally agree with the Ryan showers - not the greatest. I wonder how long they will stay looking clean (seems to me like the materials will not wear well).

    1. We've already started researching what it will take to switch it out.. I don't think I can live with it.

  4. Awwww TechMama, everything looks so nice! It started out rough but always ends well! I am so happy for you and the exterior colors are pretty too.

btw--I thought I was the only one claiming about the shower doors! I hate the sound they make when you get out and the water tends to drip on the floor if you leave it open too long. Ugghh I know I can't live with them. I have done some research on the shower doors but have not chosen anyone. C is right too! The material is very cheap! Glad I am not alone on this because it's driving me bananas.

Anyway, enough ranting. Your walkthrough is the day before my birthday. ;-) ENJOY YOUR REVEAL DAY!! Can't wait to see pictures of everything especially your after pictures with your brand new furniture. YOU ROCK!!

  6. I made the decision to upgrade the shower door too. I got the "elite" showed door which is all glass with no metal bracket. It was "another thousand" as I recall. Which I joke on my blog is RH's answer to everything you want upgraded.

I think your house is beautiful and I love the hardwood looks good! Nice backyard too mine is a ski slope.

  7. The house looks stunning, I can't blame your hands for itching to hold on to those keys! Well, with your loan out of your worries, you can focus all your energy into transforming that house into a home. Best of luck!
