First time home buyer, building from the ground up with Ryan Homes.
We were in a very very long long underwriting process for various reasons that I cannot complain about; however, it was extremely nerve wrecking and I learned a lot about the true virtue of patience.January 30 - July 3 Underwriting to Loan ApprovalJuly 3 - September 6 Waiting for Customizations/Front Porch ApprovalSeptember 26 Pre Construction Meeting with PMOctober 2 Breaking Ground
Wowww! I can't complain at all after seeing your timeline. 5 months of underwriting would have had me on edge. You remained faitful though and now the wait is over :)
It them about 30 days to let me know. I've also read other blogs where they had been approved for weeks and NVR just hadn't informed them of the approval.Eeek!
30 days, I guess I'll use that as a basis. Loan Administrator told me 7 -10 days (yeah right, lol). Sounds like I'll need to call and check on them to make sure it isn't already approved.
I'm working with BB&T and was in the underwriting stage for what seemed like an eternity...but it was probably 30 days. It can be nerve wracking, hang in there.
Thanks! PP said 30 days too. Guess i'll sit back and relax a bit. I'm just ready to see some progress :)
about 45 days from the very start at our first meeting with NVR....not bad at all, once it reached underwriting it took about 5 days...but it did feel like a lifetime, lookin back, it was just really impatient......Hang in there, it will happen...
TechMama,, go back to my blog and read my response to your message you just left!
Our loan was in Underwritting for 3 days before were where told we were approved. But It was with the process for 3 weeks before it went to underwritting. I know the feeling of having to wait for what seems like forever. I just kept emailing my processor and checking in with her to find out where we were in the process. I think it also depends on the type of loan you are doing. We are doing FHA.
